L&M Body Shop has gone “GREEN”. We are the first Body shop in the Silicon Valley to take this ground breaking step.

Here at L&M Body Shop we have changed from using solvent based paint to a water base paint called (waterborne).

We at L&M Body Shop are excited about the transition over to a more environment friendly paint process. that is why we are now using “Glasurit”90-line waterborne paint. Not the unfriendly solvent borne paint of the past.

By using waterborne paint, our collision center will provide you with the highest quality repair available, while allowing us to make our contribution to improve air quality. In addition waterborne technology is not only environmentally more responsible, but also much safer for our employees.

We have installed low wattage lighting throughout the shop; this has lowered our energy consumption close to 40%. We are also currently looking into installing solar panels to reduce energy consumption even further.

We are also working with our local disposal companies to recycle whatever we can. Such as our scrap metal, cardboard and damaged plastic car parts, with the use of separate containers. We are still looking for other ways that we can reduce waist and energy consumption.
